“I am very interested in developing a series of sound signals that would be broadcast from the radio station at Grimeton and that would be heard at different points along the coast-line. Guglielmo Marconi, the pioneer of long distance radio, suggested that sounds once generated never die, they fade but they continue to reverbera-te as sound waves across the universe. He also believed it was possible to use radio to tune into fragmented and dispersed sound waves created thousands of years ago.
